This Wheat Wine is brewed with care to produce a complex beer with layers of flavour. The addition of 100kg of BC Wildflower Honey from the Honeybee Centre to this brew has earthy and floral notes with hints of sweet fruit. Wax dipped with bees wax, this bottle will develop and mature for years.
A Wheat Wine takes the idea from a Barley Wine except brewed with the majority of the grain being wheat. This contributes a really silky mouthfeel with lots of body and bready sweetness. The addition of Wildflower Honey adds a layer of complexity that gives a fresh honey aroma mixed with vanilla and slightly earthy/floral notes.
This beer is really complex - big, rich, and sweet, but at the same time delicate and balanced. Take some time with a glass, let it warm up, and savour it.
