Howe Sound Brewing's Iconic Pumpkineater Imperial Pumpkin Ale Returns October 1! 🎃

As the leaves start to change color and the air turns crisp, it's that time of the year again when pumpkin-spiced everything begins to dominate our taste buds and warm our hearts. And if you're a beer enthusiast, the arrival of October also means the return of one of Howe Sound Brewing's most iconic brews: Pumpkineater Imperial Pumpkin Ale.

Pioneering Pumpkin Brews

Howe Sound Brewing, nestled in the picturesque town of Squamish, British Columbia, has a rich history of crafting exceptional and innovative beers. One of the most significant milestones in our journey was becoming one of the first breweries in Western Canada to produce a pumpkin beer. Not only did we embrace the idea of a pumpkin-infused beer, but we took it a step further by creating Pumpkineater Imperial Pumpkin Ale with a robust 8.0% ABV.

Flashback to the early 2000s, when the craft beer scene was a bit different from what it is today. Brewing with more than four ingredients was considered outside the box and even a little daring. It was during this time that Howe Sound Brewing decided to pave the way for the pumpkin beer craze that would later sweep the craft beer world. Pumpkineater was a game-changer, pushing the boundaries of what beer could be and setting the stage for a seasonal sensation.

The Pumpkin Beer Pioneer

What makes Pumpkineater Imperial Pumpkin Ale so special is its careful balance of flavors. When you take your first sip, you'll be greeted with the familiar autumnal spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, which blend harmoniously with the sweet, earthy notes of pumpkin. This delightful robust imperial is topped off with a subtle hint of caramel and a touch of hop bitterness

Pumpkineater isn't just a beer; it's a celebration of the season. Its warm, amber hue and inviting aroma evoke images of cozy firesides and pumpkin patches. Whether you're enjoying it pumpkin carving or sharing it with friends around a bonfire, this beer captures the essence of autumn in every sip.
